- Trusting the word "ergonomic" without asking what it means. Per FTC guidelines, advertising claims have to be truthful—but "ergonomic" is a broad term, and not every product lives up to the label. Ask for specifications. Try the desk if you can. Read the warranty.
The standing desk market is crowded, and I'd be the last person to say Autonomous is the only brand worth buying.
